The James E. Taylor Performing Arts Center
|
The James E. Taylor Performing Arts Center is the performance home for all the fine arts progrmas at Taylor. Band, Choir, Dance, Orchestra, Theatre and even Art use the center to showcase the excellent work of our students. The facility is also able to host a multitude of other functions: outside theatre companies, college band and orchestra traveling companies, community events and other KISD functions.

PAC Technician
Students who interview and are excepted into the Tech 3 and 4 class are members of the PAC technical staff. These students are the work force behind the successful running of all of the performances in the PAC as well as maintaining the PAC facility and it's equipment.
These students begin PAC training during the summer months and are continually training throughout the year. Being a PAC technician is very time-consuming and demanding for the students, but the experience, knowledge, and personal accomplishments are all part of the training to be successful in the real world. These students follow the PlayMaker Theatre Department Philosophy of “Nothing But Excellence.” As the PAC manager, I am always very proud of my student technicians and the difficult job that they do. If you are interested — or parents, if you have a student who is interested — in being apart of the PAC class, please contact Mr. Woods at charleswoods@katyisd.org.
