Technical Theatre

As part of Katy ISD's commitment to fine arts education, James E. Taylor High School offers a full compliment of Technical Theatre classes in addition to Theatre Arts classes. From the introductory Tech Theatre I class to the most advanced PAC Technician class, Taylor offers four years of complete technical theatre curriculum.

Students interested in the technical theatre arts, spend two years learning the basics of all technical areas and stage design. Then they are able to tailor their last two years of study within the fields that most interest them. All tech students are always invited and encouraged to join the PlayMakers production company on technical crews for the after-school productions.
